The Quality Manager will oversee the activity of the quality assurance department, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and testing for the organization's products and/or development processes.

Responsibilities for Quality Manager

  • Establishes and ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all functions.
  • Develops and implements processes to ensure that product meets required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
  • Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
  • Communicates quality standards and parameters to General Manager, Production Manager, Engineers, and other appropriate staff.
  • Coordinates and participates in product testing processes and perform inspections
  • Identifies and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur and recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues
  • Uses metrology equipment for testing purposes.
  • Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action process
  • Identify issues and methods to reduce costs in manufacturing processes.
  • Completes excel spreadsheets and records all data.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required

  • 3 years' experience in a quality role - with manufacturing experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • In depth knowledge of quality assurance processes and lean philosophies
  • Analytical thinking with problem solving aptitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
  • Previous experience in a start-up environment a plus
  • Previous experience implementing quality systems a plus.
  • Lean certification is a plus.
  • Experience with ISO-9001 is a plus Self-motivated.
