Position Description:
Be able to analyze the validity of automotive supplier part pricing and tooling uplift requests in a service environment for change in mfg. process, volume impact, and inflation. Calculate a should cost. Be able to explain cost changes to internal and external stake holders that have competing agendas
Skills:
- Understand various manufacturing process and how the switch from high volume to low volume impacts cost
- Stamping, Machining, Injection molding, Casting, Wire Harness , Asm
- Calculate, analyze, and adjust estimates
- Efficiency, floorspace, and inflation impact labor and burden rates
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written, speaking and listening)
- Operate in a grey space environment with minimal direction and multiple projects The position deals with internal combustion engines and across all commodities.
- In the next 5 years a transition to BEV's will require an understanding of Motors, electronics, batteries Software
- Excel, PowerPoint, CAD/Read blueprints, Estimating Software (FACTON), Company purchasing systems (SAP) Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in estimating with mfg. experience
- Bachelor of Science (Engineering, Technology, or Finance related fields)
- Some travel required

- 5 years of experience in estimating with manufacturing experience.
