Position Description:

Be able to analyze the validity of automotive supplier part pricing and tooling uplift requests in a service environment for change in mfg. process, volume impact, and inflation. Calculate a should cost. Be able to explain cost changes to internal and external stake holders that have competing agendas

Skills:

  • Understand various manufacturing process and how the switch from high volume to low volume impacts cost
  • Stamping, Machining, Injection molding, Casting, Wire Harness , Asm
  • Calculate, analyze, and adjust estimates
  • Efficiency, floorspace, and inflation impact labor and burden rates
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written, speaking and listening)
  • Operate in a grey space environment with minimal direction and multiple projects The position deals with internal combustion engines and across all commodities.
  • In the next 5 years a transition to BEV's will require an understanding of Motors, electronics, batteries Software
    • Excel, PowerPoint, CAD/Read blueprints, Estimating Software (FACTON), Company purchasing systems (SAP) Qualifications
    • 5 years of experience in estimating with mfg. experience
    • Bachelor of Science (Engineering, Technology, or Finance related fields)
    • Some travel required

Experience Required:

  • 5 years of experience in estimating with manufacturing experience.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor of Science (Engineering, Technology)
