Position Description:

  • Initiate and perform machining capability studies
  • Coordinate, communicate, and drive part manage the change requirements and verification
  • Coordinate new part introduction trials with production, MP&L and PD
  • Evaluate and interface with suppliers on new part introduction including PPAP, quality operating systems validation and change management
  • Lead the effort in new part issue resolution with cross-functional teams, including the quality department, production, and suppliers.
  • Monitor and assess first time through rates in machining and assembly departments.
  • Be the first responder to quality concerns as they arise during program launches internally and with our customers

Skills Required:

  • 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or quality related positions
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Experience in performing capability studies
  • Experience in PPAP processes and requirements
  • Experience in establishing and evaluating quality operating systems, dimensional control plans and error proofing
  • Ability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends, as needed during launch
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead teams through issue resolution
  • Ability to read blueprints and identify suspect problematic features
  • Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/SharePoint/Minitab)
