Position Description:
New Model Launch engineer for vehicle programs.
Responsible for the overall program management and delivery of new vehicle programs. Activities include but are not limited to: Issue Resolution, Quality/Status Assessments, Fleet (Vehicle) Management, and Budgets/Timing.
Experience Required:
Managing the Launch Teams transition to the plant.
Managing Pre-Production Build Events.
Managing the ordering, building, testing, and disposition of vehicles.
Managing the Pre-Production Drive Fleet Evaluation Plan.
Managing Product Development change approvals ahead of prototype builds.
Gatekeeper for New Model Programs.
Leading the build issues management process for the cross functional program team.
Co-Chairing meetings and driving part support issues to resolution for each pre-production build.
Champion Senior Management Presentations.
Preparing and presenting New Model Program weekly assessment reports.
Managing launch budget approval and executing elements controlled by New Model Programs within the launch budget.
Program management experience
Manufacturing experience
Strong communication skills
Education Required:
Engineering degree.
Fully Onsite. This position involves long-term travel (up to 9-12 months at a time) to support assembly plants during program launches.
