Powertrain Manager

Description:

Seeking a Propulsion Systems Sub System Technical Manager support role.
Support for all integration activities and interface for all issues (cost, timing, program planning, launch support, program resolution, etc)

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another related Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited university or equivalent

• 5 Years experience in Design, development, and program management experience in broad powertrain functions and/or vehicle engineering in any of the following areas: engine, transmission, driveline, packaging, adaptation, controls, or calibration
• Demonstrated high leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Demonstrated understanding of the Company product development processes, design validation, Key Process Indicators (KPI), and gate processes
• Demonstrated team building skills
• Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, and to work with minimal direction (ability to understand and complete next steps without guidance)
• Preferred Master of Science degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another related Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited university or equivalent.
• Experience and understanding of the vehicle cost process
• Experience with the ER&D roll-up process
• Experience with Change Notice (CN) and Common Change Document (CCD) process
• Significant knowledge of the automotive industry and competitive benchmarks
• Program life cycle experience
• Experience as a Resident/Quality Engineer at one or more manufacturing plants
• Should be ready to work in flexible hours, overtime permitted, up to 50hrs/week depending on program milestones/deliverables. Plant starts early, 5a.m.
