Job Summary:
The main function of an engineering tech analyst is to provide technical support on various engineering projects and assignments. A typical engineering tech analyst is responsible for obtaining blueprints, inspecting hardware, tracking project updates, compiling data, and assisting engineering teams overcome project roadblocks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Given various levels of direction, obtain blueprints, math data, PDMs and other graphical information. Inspect and compare physical hardware (parts, vehicles, mockup bucks) to graphical information, noting discrepancies and potential root cause.
- Obtain specific data from available databases, sort or organize data by designated characteristics or relationships and report-required information in specified formats.
- Plan, schedule and coordinate technical reviews of outlined issues, drawing, parts, and/or vehicles
- Document technical discussions, action plans and assignments.
- Monitor and report status of projects and assignments.
- Compile cost comparison data or performance comparison data.
- Compile data and convert into standard specification format and documents.
- Identify data, analysis method and report format required to present and explain an issue, phenomenon, or potential solution.
- Partake in the design and implementation of action plans.
- Identify ways to improve implementation of the Vehicle Development Process.
Required Skills:
- Ability to identify relevant drawings, layouts and graphic illustrations and use them to investigate issues and potential solutions.
- Understanding of vehicle architecture and function, including packaging and dynamic interactions of components in assigned areas.
- Ability to create, file data and retrieve information from electronic databases.
- Strong knowledge data processing techniques, methods, software and application to solution of real problems.
- Ability to develop work plans, including identification and retrieval of necessary information, data and drawings, required analysis method or technique and effective report format.
- Experience as auto mechanic or technician.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Ability to utilize existing or new information and processes to resolve issues.

- Years of experience – entry level position
- Nice to have – 2 years' experience in Dynamometer Testing / Lab Operations Setup
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with AVL, Horiba or Burke Porter
- Understanding of Global Manufacturing System principle
- Quality / data validation experience – this attention to detail translates very
- Soft skills – self-motivated, attention to detail, takes initiative
Education Requirement:
- High School Diploma

Mon-Fri
- 1st – 6AM-4:30PM
- 2nd shift 4-2:30AM
- 3rd – 11PM – 7:30AM (M-F)
- Start 1st shift – 8 weeks to go through training
