Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced FEA Analyst to conduct structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis on client products and assemblies. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and can clearly communicate results and optimization opportunities to engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform FEA analysis on products/assemblies, including:
o Linear/non-linear static, quasi-static, and dynamic analysis
o Normal modes, frequency response, and random response analysis
o Physics-based and data-driven optimization studies
- Determine boundary conditions for large contact, complex non-linear models (implicit & explicit environments)
- Create high-quality 2D shell and 3D tetra meshes for intricate geometries
- Debug solution sequences and update models for convergence
- Develop internal FEA methods and specifications to meet customer requirements
- Communicate technical feedback to customers and internal engineering teams
- Correlate FEA results with test data, identify discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and update models accordingly
- Conduct fatigue and thermal-mechanical analyses
- Generate material curves from raw stress-strain data
- Read and edit solver input decks (.inp, .bdf, .rad, .fem)
Experience Required:
- Proficiency in FEA meshing tools and pre/post-processors
- Strong knowledge of structural mechanics, dynamics, heat transfer, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with implicit/explicit and NVH FEA simulations
