Summary: The main function of a mechanical technician is to modify, test and repair machinery and equipment under direction of engineering staff or physical scientists. A mechanical technician helps engineers design, test, and manufacture industrial machinery, consumer products and other equipment.
Education/Experience:
• Associate's degree in engineering technology or related field required.
• 8-10 years experience required.

- Ensure scrap and non-conforming material is identified and set aside for processing.
COST: Utilize continuous improvement to identify and eliminate the 7 forms of waste.
- Understand and support elimination of waste (COMMWIP) waste.
- Aware of cost of supplies, energy, and parts for waste elimination.
- Assist team accurate documenting of scrap and non-conforming material.
- Participate in team CI objectives and BPD metrics.
- Seek efficiency in all activities to reduce cost.
ENVIRONMENT: Engage in practices to minimize our environmental footprint.

- Support conserving energy and minimizing waste.
