Job Summary:

This is to temporarily fill a role as an Hourly Personnel Coordinator, reporting to the Manager of Employee Relations.

The role has responsibilities that include coordinating hourly transactions for hourly employees including:

  • Responsible for hourly transactions and tracking manpower planning using an internal database
  • Input transactions for hourly records in a timely fashion
  • Create and maintain records, including ensuring they are audit-compliant
  • Support the Chicago Assembly Plant HR team
  • Support hourly personnel recruiting and hiring, as necessary
  • Onboard of new hire employees and create personnel jackets and profiles
  • Support manpower planning processes, including hiring, layoffs, unemployment, etc.
  • Handle requests and inquiries from Ford's legal and retirement divisions
  • Encourage an effective, inclusive work environment / culture and relationships, balancing employee advocacy with stewardship of company goals and values

Skills Required:

Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word

Skills Preferred:

Analytical skills, Labor Relations

Experience Required:

  • 5 years of ADVANCED experience with Microsoft office tools, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Experience working with very large amounts of data / data entry
  • Experience Preferred:
  • Experience working with union in manufacturing environment with daily interactions with union staff, hourly employees and leadership
  • Experience with Oracle's Human Capital Management (HCM) system

Education Required:

High School Diploma / GED

Education Preferred:

Associate Degree

Additional Information:

  • This position requires a person who has strong organizational skills, and the ability to deal with large amounts of data, as our plant has over 4,300 hourly employees.
  • We also want someone who can work quickly and efficiently through the data, as there are often quick turnaround requests for data.
  • Work is ONSITE in a manufacturing environment.
  • There may be times when this role may need to work a holiday or nights/weekends, as assigned.
