Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees warehouse operations and employees to achieve business objectives, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and responsiveness within assigned departments. This role requires leadership, problem-solving, and strong interpersonal skills to drive team performance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance, counseling, and support to hourly employees, addressing concerns and promoting positive behaviors.
- Recognize and reinforce strong performance while addressing areas for improvement.
- Utilize Quality Network problem-solving methods to identify opportunities and engage the workforce for ideas.
- Apply Workplace Organization (WPO) principles to optimize layouts and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate payroll data through daily updates in the Timekeeping System (TKS).
- Document problem-solving activities using the A-3 reporting format and adhere to local A-3 guidelines.
- Conduct daily meetings to communicate performance metrics and encourage two-way discussions with employees.
- Perform weekly safety observation tours and ensure safety compliance.
- Plan and prioritize daily workloads to optimize team productivity.
- Support colleagues and cross-functional teams to maximize shift performance.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements (national and local).
- Enforce shop rules and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in individual development plans (IDP) to advance skills and leadership growth.
- Keep the General Supervisor Shop Committee informed of pending activities and operational updates.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and quality control standards.
- Basic math proficiency and familiarity with scheduling and management systems.
- Strong analytical skills to solve complex problems effectively.

- Understanding of basic technology and systems relevant to assigned area.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or business school training preferred.
- Training in skilled trades or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in warehouse or manufacturing operations.
Shift Requirements:
- Candidate must be available to work either: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM or 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, depending on operational needs.
