Job Title: Lab & Manufacturing Tech Engineer
Summary
Seeking a recent graduate with 1-2 years of hands-on lab or manufacturing experience to support welding, materials testing, and characterization activities. This role will work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams on weld testing and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laser and resistance welding, including weld coupons and tab welding.
- Prepare and analyze welded samples (cross-sections, optical microscopy)
- Conduct material characterization, tensile testing, resistance, and resistivity measurements
- Support lab test setups, DOE activities, and data documentation
- Coordinate test data with internal teams and external suppliers
Requirements
- 1-2 years of lab or manufacturing experience (internships/co-ops acceptable)
- Experience with welding processes and materials testing
- Bachelor's degree required (Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or Materials Engineering preferred)
- Optical microscopy, metallography, or SEM experience
- Database or lab data management experience
