Job Responsibilities

  • Execute complex mechanical assembly, disassembly, and modification of prototype and production automotive components and systems, including engines, transmissions, chassis, and body structures, exhaust components.
  • Perform detailed inspections, measurements, and diagnostic testing using a wide range of precision tools, instrumentation, and diagnostic software.
  • Identify discrepancies, and collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot issues, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support the fabrication and welding of test fixtures, and specialized equipment as required for product development and validation activities.
  • Document all work performed, including test procedures, observations, results, and recommendations, maintaining accurate records and reporting findings to engineering teams.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of laboratory and workshop equipment, ensuring proper calibration and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Provide technical support to engineering teams during design reviews, product launches, and issue resolution processes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, test methods, and equipment.


Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related technical field experience; associates degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a mechanical technician in an automotive or relevant engineering environment.
  • Proven expertise in mechanical assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting of complex automotive systems.
  • Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Extensive knowledge in electrical diagnostics.
  • Strong skillset in welding and fabrication of components (eg. Exhaust systems, catalytic convertors & brackets).
  • Experience with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, dial indicators).
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems and analysis software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various physical postures as required by the job.

1st shift - 6AM - 2:30PM EST
