Position Description:

This position provides an outstanding opportunity to lead high performing teams and workstreams required to ensure the on-time software delivery of propulsion controls software. You'll work directly with other Software Planning & Integration team members, Project Control teams, propulsion calibration teams, and propulsion controls software developers to manage the software delivery, integration, and validation plans for all assigned programs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and lead the propulsion controls release plans to support program timing and program complexity for assigned programs, in line with OEM program milestones
  • Work with Project Controls to understand program timing and program hardware specifications o Produce feature by phase plan for each release
  • Produce application and validation plan for each software release
  • Issue Feature Cycle Plan (FCP) requests to feature teams
  • Work with validation team to meet validation plan
  • Work closely with integration team on plans and bug fixes
  • Maintain application planning tools and Jira up to date for all assigned programs; drive issues to resolution; keep issue status updated
  • Track late program software changes through the change control process and ensure software delivery of approved changes
  • Participate in gasoline and electrified change control board, Agile scrum team meetings, program PMST meetings, and lead software CPMT meetings
    Support bill-of-feature and technical design review process
  • Help identify areas to improve software to help Ford meet the highest quality, lowest cost product

Skills Required:

  • Agile Software Development Agile Software Development
  • Would like somebody who is familiar with Agile terminology because we manage our software releases in Jira.

Skills Preferred:

  • Program Management
  • Lead application software release plans, support program timing, work closely with integration and validation teams on plans and bug fixes, track late change through change control and ensure delivery of approved changes.
  • Lead component management meeting to communicate with customers.

Experience Required:

  • Strong program planning, project management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding Organizational skills
  • Strong team leadership behaviors
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering
  • Solid understanding of Product Development System deliverables and reporting processes
  • Program management experience
  • Proficient and/or ability to quickly learn and apply new engineering management, and data analytic tools (e.g. JIRA, Excel, Custom Tools, etc.)
  • Experience with OEM's in-house software tools, preferred (UPS, BP, AP, GTPS)

Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree

Additional Information:
Hybrid (Currently 4 days in office required. Potential increase to 5 days in office)
