Position Description:

  • Drive development and/or installation of direct and indirect labor standards and methods.
  • Track labor - RTO's, off standards, efficiencies, etc. Help generate presentations to Global IE to request labor authorizations.
  • Lead plant efficiency improvement projects and re-balances.
  • Conduct Job Ergonomics evaluations; support workstation and packaging design reviews
  • Analyze process constraints and conduct equipment cycle time analysis. Provide input to constraint decks; actively support constraint working-meetings and leadership report outs.
  • Analyze plant work methods and standards and recommend improvements / efficiencies
  • Support cost estimates of new or revised methods and standards
  • Review proposed changes in plant layout, processes, material handling, routing, etc. and help make recommendations
  • Conduct time and motion/MODAPTS/GSPAS studies and review employee proposals and suggestions.
  • Ensure work processes are correctly documented in APT / time studies, especially when changes take place.
  • Develop headcount maps for project plans and future models. Lead job methodization and process allocations.
  • Interface with Production Supervision and the UAW to help work through concerns
  • Report out over-cycles and document plans for cycle time improvement
  • Report outline efficiencies and HPU (Uptime, JPH) lead and/or support glidepath file updating
    Prepare input for annual budget; support manning/RTO and capacity/demand forecasts.
  • Help maintain capacity planning documents, capacity strategy, capacity statement, volume worksheets.
  • Support basic 2D CAD modeling for workstation updates planning
  • Support Benchmarking and other special assignments as they are requested
  • Pull together cross-functional teams when working on more complex projects - be a positive leader and change agent

Skills Required:

  • Labor Analysis / Time Studies -Constraint / Productivity Analysis
  • Confident in Excel, PowerPoint
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Self driven, collaborator, balance many priorities

Skills Preferred:

  • MODAPTS
  • Ergo analysis tools
  • GSPAS / APT
  • AUTOCAD / Layout Drawing

Experience Required:
At lease 1 year working in a manufacturing environment

Experience Preferred:
3-5 years

Education Required:
Bachelors Degree

Education Preferred:
Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering

Additional Information:
Should be mostly or entirely straight time.
Any OT needs pre-approval from Supervisor.
Fully Onsite.
