Summary:
The main function of a production supervisor is to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers.
Supervision of UAW team members in a Paint Production Environment.
Responsible for the Safety, Quality and Throughput of the employees working for them in a Manufacturing Plant Floor Environment

Job Responsibilities:
Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems.
Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances.
Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records

Skills:
Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.
0-2 years experience required.

Must Have Skills:
Communication and organization skills - they will have admin tasks they will need to complete and it can be overwhelming if they are not organized
Being able to prioritize tasks and understand what needs to be completed first without supervision or being told what to do

Shift Details:
Able to work any of the 3 shifts including possible Saturdays and Sundays.
Cover people on different shifts when someone is on leave,
Shadow a group leader on 1st and 2nd shift for a couple weeks and they will move to 3rd shift and shadow the business manager
3rd shift will be where they will start and then might move around there based on vacations/sick leaves/etc.

Shift Hours:
1st shift: 6AM - 3PM
2nd shift: 2PM - 11PM
3rd shift: 10PM - 7AM
