Job Description
Support preventative maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
Technician will be working on Internal Combustion Engine Emissions testing equipment, mostly focused on the calibration and maintenance of this equipment.
Work environment - Engine Test Lab
Maintenance team for the test lab in Pontiac, a lot of troubleshooting diagnostic work replacing failed things in the test system, familiar with calibrated equipment but not actually doing the calibration. Take out the piece that needs calibration, put in a new one. Related to vehicle engine and emission testing, keep all the test systems working.
Focused on general instrumentation - in long digital data collection, fuel systems, flow meters, temperature data collection
MTS systems (test systems) hydraulic test stands
Doing preventative maintenance (half is the annual calibration and the other half is to verify that everything is operating correctly), test cells, and troubleshooting
Education
High School Diploma
Prefer technical degree (example - engineering)
Years of experience - At least 2-4 years' experience
1st shift: 6AM - 2:30PM
