Position Description:
Supervise UAW employees in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Daily duties include:
- Supervising the processing of all inbound material for put away, ensuring the processing of all inbound orders for deliveries based on dock grid time.
- Supervisor must be able to work unsupervised and able to multi-task while not only completing each days goal but also increasing performance and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Building has a Super Shift concept with 2 start times at 10:30am and 1:30pm with the inbound operations completed on the 10:30am and outbound on the 1:30pm shift.
- Supervisor will work the 1:30pm shift and is expected to work daily and weekend overtime.
- Must be willing to work any shift when required.
- Supervisor should have some warehousing experiencing preferable SAP systems, inventory and working with UAW employees.
Skills Required:
Warehouse 101, great communication and leadership skills, ability to deliver results, data driven, self starter and ability to multitask in a fast pace environment.
Skills Preferred:
Ability to meet deadlines and timing for inbound and outbound operations.
Team oriented and process driven mindset. Ability to manage conflict and motivate employees
Experience Required:
Prior supervision of UAW employees, some warehousing experience and understanding of lean practices and concepts.
Some understanding of Excel and utilization of MS office.
Experience Preferred:
SAP system, inventory, slotting within warehouse layout, strong experience in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Education Required:
BS Degree
Education Preferred:
BS Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering
Additional Information:
Fully onsite working 2nd shift.
