Job Title: Welding & Laser Process Engineer (Entry-Level)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated recent graduate with 1-2 years of hands-on laboratory or manufacturing experience to support welding, laser processing, and materials characterization activities. This role will collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to perform weld testing, laser-based processing, and detailed analysis to support product development and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform laser welding, laser cutting, and resistance welding, including weld coupons and tab welding
Operate and support CNC laser systems for precision material processing and fabrication
Assist in laser processing and simulation activities to evaluate and optimize weld quality and performance
Prepare and analyze welded samples, including cross-sectioning, polishing, and optical microscopy evaluation
Conduct material characterization, including tensile testing, resistance, and resistivity measurements
Support laboratory test setups, Design of Experiments (DOE), and data collection/documentation
Compile, analyze, and report test data to internal teams and external suppliers
Ensure adherence to safety standards and proper handling of lab and manufacturing equipment

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
1-2 years of hands-on lab or manufacturing experience (internships or co-ops accepted)
Basic knowledge of welding processes and materials testing techniques
Exposure to laser processing, laser welding, or CNC laser equipment
