Must have experience in laboratory procedures and testing
- Areas of testing include, paint, sealers, and adhesives
- If does not have all three above, sealers and adhesives experience are preferred
- Must have experience working with computer Windows software and Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Must have experience in common safe laboratory practices
Job functions include the following:
- Perform laboratory paint qualification testing per material specification
- Testing includes paint adhesion, pencil hardness, color measurements, gloss measurements, xenon weathering, water exposure, salt spray resistance, humidity exposure, cold crack, etc.
- Perform laboratory sealer qualification testing per material specification which include DGU, LASD, Hem sealer, body sealer, baffle sealers, etc.
- Testing includes lap shear adhesion, knife cut adhesion, viscosity, hardness, specific gravity, salt spray resistance, tack free time, etc.
- Perform laboratory adhesive qualification testing per material specification which include Mastics, hot melt, pressure sensitive, etc.
- Testing includes lap shear adhesion, knife cut adhesion, viscosity, hardness, specific gravity, salt spray resistance, tack free time, etc.
- Record and prepare laboratory test results and evaluations for review by engineering staff using Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
