The main function of a conveyor systems engineer is to work with multiple engineering teams to ensure manufacturing assembly and conveyer system requirements are met.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate activities of a small group of engineers and support resources.
- Manage process engineering, OEM suppliers engineering, fabrication, and field installation contracts.
- Prepare engineering estimates and performance specification for obtaining process engineering service contract.
- Prepare engineering estimates for fabrication and installation of conveyor and material handling systems.
- Prepare project milestones schedules for equipment fabrication and installation.
- Provide field engineering support throughout equipment installation, start-up, de-bug, and acceleration phases.
- Travel to integration shops and plant sites as required to ensure fabrication and installation requirements are met.
- Provide technical support for installation and start-up of conveyor systems.
- Provide technical support for training of plant personnel.
- Monitor project progress to schedule and develop countermeasures to meet targets and provide management reports.
- Review shop drawings to ensure compliance with technical specifications and maintainability quality objectives.
- Coordinate field changes and prepare appropriate documentation.
- Attend contractor and plant meetings as required to maintain project coordination.
- Provide guidance to less experienced engineers.
Skills:
- Experience in coordinating design and construction activities.
- Experience in construction codes and technical specifications.
- Experience with several types of conveyor systems and technologies.
- Experience working with Constructions Managers.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards.
- High level of written and oral communication skills.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
5-7 years of experience required.
