Lead interface between the Chief Engineering team and the Product Release Center, Engine Systems, SW and Controls Teams. Primarily responsible for managing the PRS Controller HW application to future vehicle projects, and managing TWC, Issue resolution for the serial life projects. Design Systems / Applications Engineer reports to the Chief Engineer for multiple programs.
Responsibilities include:
Controller hardware system responsible (integration and application)
Interfacing with individual Design Release Engineers and COEs, SSTMs, Control Managers, SW Team, Suppliers , Development Validation Center, QEC/Control Tower and WAT/Hot Housing team. Lead/support hardware system design reviews across PRC and reviews DRE design proposals as required . Support bulletin response compilation and PSK assessments as per the PSDP. Support the DRE for the System and Interface DFMEA / DRBFM (team) reviews to ensure complete transparency and development of cohesive Design Controls leading to Robust DVP Actions . Supports CE & ACE to develop FTE and ER&D/ED&D Cost Roll
ups for Minor/MCA/ New Programs. Review and coordinate with DRE all change notices ensuring checklists, LL, and EBPs are updated and aligned. Lead/Support Technical Cost Reductions (TCRs) / Value Optimization (VO) effort and alignment working closely with PRC, DVC and VO teams
moved from AE responsibilities to align better . Represents CE in managing the "lessons learned" document for the program and ensure that TS (Technical Specialist) receive those updates on a timely manner to update the EBPs accordingly
Reviews Controller system "Validation Completion" status with DVC team periodically & provides update to CE. Coordinates DRBTR review and keeper of "follow up items" and decision maker on issuing GIMS/S2IRRIUS for buds of problems
Manage CQI and GIMS/S2IRRIUS cross functional task force teams working closely with ACE, create priorities, action plans and track progress, align and update initiatives list.
