Design Release Engineer

Position Description:
Design and release engineer for rocker moldings, supporting rocker molding design and development, with additional responsibility for body scope oversight across related components/systems.

Experience Required:

• Must possess an understanding of how to design & release injection molded plastics automotive systems components.
  Previous OEM experience is preferred.
• Previous experience in exterior systems design & release is also preferred. Know how to design & release a rocker molding system to meet North American legal requirements, understand the design and release process and know how to provide feedback during feasibility checkpoints.
• Possess an understanding of rocker molding/exterior trim system requirement.
• Experience managing or coordinating body scope oversight across cross-functional teams and suppliers is also preferred, including tracking program timing, part maturity, and issue resolution across the body system.
