Position Description:

Vehicle Controls Software team is seeking a dedicated and skilled Software Validation Engineer to ensure the robustness and performance of propulsive control systems. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing advanced verification methods, crafting sophisticated automated test scripts, overseeing test execution, and presenting data-driven results. Software Testing The role is validating PCM software in a vehicle environment. Candidate should be capable of reading C code, understanding it impact / function in a real testing environment. Candidate should be able to take requirements create test cases and validate those test cases for system performance. Should also be able to debug software issues in a real testing environment. HIL experience would be a plus, there is opportunity to be cross trained on HIL.

Python - Ideal candidate should be able to write / modify python code. This role currently has a legacy suite of python code that is critical to be maintained / updated so they should be comfortable maintaining legacy python code and writing new features / code as required.

Technical Analysis - Issue we typically face in this role can be complicated across many software functions. Candidate should be able to take complex software engineering issues and apply good engineering principles to help debug issues as they occur.

Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or related field) or a closely related discipline.
1 years of experience in automotive embedded systems software validation or development.
1 years of experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts and analysis tools, with demonstrated proficiency in Python or a similar scripting language.
Proficiency with automated issue tracking and reporting systems, such as JIRA.
1 years of experience with calibration methodologies and tools (e.g., ATI Vision, ETAS INCA).
1 years of experience with CAN networks and On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) systems, including demonstrated ability to utilize related tools (e.g., CANalyzer, PTDiag).
Ability to read, interpret, and debug embedded C code and/or Model-Based Design (MBD) models, with experience participating in code reviews for root cause identification.
1 years of experience with module emulators and interfaces (e.g., M5, M6, A8, A9, ETK, XETK).
Must be capable of performing normal driving procedures on public roads in various conditions and in all Ford-produced vehicles.
