Position Description:
The Process Engineer-Ergonomist assists the plant ergonomics program at Michigan Assembly Plant, partnering with production, engineering, safety, medical, labor, and plant leadership to identify and reduce ergonomic risks. The role assesses and improves workstations, analyzes injury and medical trends, supports new-model launches and process changes, and ensures compliance with Ford ergonomics standards. Through data analysis, employee training, and cross-functional continuous improvement, this position promotes employee well-being while supporting safety, quality, and operational performance.

Experience Required:
A bachelor's degree in ergonomics, engineering, industrial engineering, human factors, kinesiology, occupational health, safety, or a related field. At least one year of experience in ergonomics, manufacturing or industrial engineering, safety, or a related technical area. Experience conducting ergonomic assessments and implementing workplace improvements. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
A master's degree, Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) credential, automotive manufacturing or launch experience, and familiarity with ergonomic simulation tools are preferred, but not required.
